The law firm of Moore, Clarke, DuVall & Rodgers, P.C. was founded on July 1, 1994 by Jim Moore, Luanne Clarke, Willis DuVall & Ralph Rodgers. Jim, Luanne, Willis and Ralph had practiced together in Albany for more than ten years. Ironically, they chose to venture out on their own only a few days before the 500-year flood hit the City of Albany after July 4th of that year. Although the firm's then-downtown offices were threatened, fortunately they were spared by the floodwaters.

From that tumultuous beginning, Moore, Clarke, DuVall & Rodgers, P.C. has prospered and become one of South Georgia's largest law firms thanks to dedication, hard work and a loyal client base. With the support of its clients, the firm has gone from a start-up operation with a single phone line and family members acting as temporary staff, to a vibrant and progressive law firm that is a major provider of legal services to the business community not only in South Georgia but throughout the state. With offices and full time attorneys in Albany, Atlanta and Valdosta, our firm can provide prompt, efficient, cost-effective legal services anywhere in the state. The firm's practice focuses in four major groups: Business, Banking and Commercial Law, Civil Litigation Defense, Real Estate, and Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Taxation.

The four original Partners oversee the four major practice groups in the firm. The Business, Banking and Commercial practice group, managed by Jim Moore, with the assistance of Partner, David Garland, emphasizes the handling of the legal needs of lending institutions, business concerns (both large and small) as well as individuals ranging from contract disputes to creditor representation in bankruptcy to collection of delinquent accounts and commercial litigation. The Civil Litigation Defense area, managed by Luanne Clarke, with the assistance of Partner, Jason Willcox, represents the interests of self insureds and insureds with coverage provided by a myriad of insurers across the state in workers' compensation, automobile liability and premises liability. In addition, this group provides representation of the interests of the firm's business clients in employment-related disputes. The Real Estate practice group, headed by Willis DuVall, handles the real estate needs of the firm's clientele, ranging from the closing of the purchase of a new home to the most complex commercial or agricultural real estate transaction. Ralph Rodgers oversees the firm's Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Taxation practice group and addresses the tax, estate planning and transactional needs of the firm's client base.
